I always choose the words with much care when I say to my young friend as the words and intention of adults would affect the children so deeply that it might encourage the children or discourage them. The bright side of this phenomenon is called 'Pygmalion effect' , a concept in psychology describing the behaviour of individuals as people expect them to behave. The effect is named after Pygmalion, a Cypriot sculptor in a narrative by Ovid in Greek mythology, who fell in love with a female statue he had carved out of ivory.
I believe it is the responsibility of adults that children can maximise their potential ability to be developed to its marginal boundary. Of course we should take the gene factor into consideration too for the accurate progress.
