I rang the National Bank credit card team for the purpose of changing credit card account type this afternoon. As my current Gold Throughbred cost almost $99 annual membership fee so I want to reduce it around half amount. I have another credit card from Kiwibank and might not use Throughbred not much as used to. Fortunately the staff told me that they will not change the limit of my new card as I was a good customer without any issue in payment. Yeah right. All the cashback rewards will be transferred to the new account and it would take five working days for receiving a new card and shall ring the call centre for the activation.
I will change the card account type again to Gold when I use this card as a main one.
