Language Barrier

After a couple of days of watching water flowing at the rate of about 300 litres an hour from a leaking fire hydrant in Nihill Cres, Mission Bay, I finally decided to ring Watercare Services.

However I was put on to a foreign-speaking lady ( Indian accent?) and as I endeavoured to give the precise co-ordinates of the offending hydrant, it appeared impossible for this lovely lady to understand my pronunciation of the word Nihill. Feeling my blood pressure rising, I hung up. The problem is that the hydrant is still spilling thousands of litres down the drain.
