I have to be honest, I would not have finished this if it has not been for this review. I don't remember all the details but what caught my eye was that at the end the book was worth the read. There is a shallowness to this story, which is something that only becomes clearer to me as I am a grown up. However the story is also very much aware of their shallowness, which is what makes it somewhat enjoyable to me. I think this book may be great at examining the culture they are set in, and I find that culture both fascinating and frustrating at times.
