I was a bit bemused to read an article that a UK girl student had her tongue surgically lengthened to tame it with the tongue twister language.
19 year old girl plans to take Korean Studies at university and dreams of living in the country, even though she has never visited it ( god help her). As she struggled to pronounce certain sounds in Korean while taking language lessons due to a slightly shorter tongue which was caused by an unusually thick lingual frenulum which joins the underside of the tongue to the floor of the mouth.
I never imagined to witness this sort of incident all my life through. Yeah right.
