Honestly, I expected so much more from Decoded that when I finished it I was mildly disappointed. I appreciated some of the finer points about Jay's life and how he got to where he is today and a peek into his thinking and motivations as a lyricist and what hip-hop really means to him but at the end of the day I thought the book might come off as completely dream hampton's work that Jay just approved.Yeah right.
