Of Thee I Zing by Laura Ingraham with Raymond Arroyo
While I agree with most of her rants in this book, going through one complaint after another becomes tiresome. It sounds like nagging and gets old fast. While I agree with many comments about cultural deterioration, she goes a bit far. While I agree with her condemnation of the ridiculous extremes some have gone to in regards to piercings and tatooing, she goes so far as to condemn people with even one tatoo, even a patriotic one.
She condemns people who fly any flag unless it is an American flag. Well, I agree if it is a communist flag but if it is a sport fan putting a flag in his yard about his favorite sports team or my elderly mother putting out a Christmas flag, it may be silly, but I'm not going to condemn their right to do so. She also condemns people who forget names. Really? This is part of cultural deterioration. I don't think so.
Instead of a criticism of society of modern American society, the book quickly became tired and old. It is a bitter woman nagging and whining about everything that bothers her. It will remind many men of the unhappy, nagging ex-wife or ex-girlfriend with which they are glad to no longer be saddled.
