Infiltrated by Jay W. Richards
Having suffered myself through the financial crisis (of which I had nothing to do with it), I really didn't believe it was all about Wall Street. This book was a pretty good read as I think it starts to help bring out how good intentions can go really bad and how people with an agenda can turn a bad situation into something useful for their cause. I do not believe everyone is qualified to own a house and simply believing that allowing some people to own a home who really didn't do the things personally to make that happen is going to be the slightly naive magic formula to make their life better.
I think Jay is making some important points that will surely draw the ire of liberals and progressives as the bottom line of this book is that everyone is entitled to an opportunity to own a home, not everyone deserves to own a home. Hence I think Jay helps expose how the activists have manipulated and hoodwinked states as to what they really want. I'm glad it popped up on my new read list.
