I enjoyed the fact I was able to establish the life of Jesus in an historical perspective. It was interesting to hear the political reasons Jesus was a persona non-grata. However, I felt some of the quotes were right out of the Bible. As a practicing Catholic and a reader of the Bible, I eventually found it to be profoundly religious rather than a historical rendition.
I voraciously read this book through since I was able to put a time line on Jesus' life being intrinsically linked to recorded history.
