This purchase was simply awesome. I initially bought it to measure the temperature of the floor oven but started measuring the temperature of everything around the house. I checked everything from the temperature of a hot pan on the stove, to check food temps (although meat temps need to be measured internally), to check the temps of the outdoors , the temperature of a fermenting barrel. I think the measurement of temperature is accurate enough for household purposes.
