The Visa Throughbred has arrived safely today so I signed the back of the card and rang the customer centre for activation. However new card has come with the chip installed so I had to put the PIN again at the branch.
Hence I went to Eastridge National Bank Branch and successfully input the PIN. And then I tried to withdraw some cash from my cheque account to know it's working or not. I was a bit surprised when ATM retained my card and declined the transaction. Luckily, ATM was adjacent to the branch so the teller happily recovered the card for me and was told I had to wait 15 minutes with the first PIN activation.
I did this sort of job several times but it worked beautifully without waiting 15 minutes. Also rang the customer centre again ( National Bank customer centre is always fantastic until now so do not transfer the centre overseas) and they confirmed nothing was wrong with my account. I will try to withdraw cash on Monday again and hope it works flawlessly.
