I think this is an entertaining book that intertwines two parallel but largely unrelated stories, about the Chicago World's Fair and a serial murderer who operated around the same time and place. As a fan of urban planning and architecture, I really enjoyed the story about the Worlds' Fair, the personalities and ideas involved, and the descriptions of a time in American history that I knew little about. The murder plot was less interesting and after awhile was a bit tiresome. The author might have done arguably better just expanding the World's Fair story but even as written as it is, it's really an entertaining and educational read.
