Following recent Microsoft word re-installation, an error message (macro problem followed by Microsoft Visual Basic system error) was displayed each time I opened a Word or Excel file. I had to click on OK several times before the file opened and could not figure out where it came from. Following a lot of research on this issue and even I followed MS official instructions to solve this, and carefully reveiwed all the settings but nothing happened.
Eventually I went to Control Panel, Programs and Features, then selected Microsoft Office 2007, clicked and selected Repair. It worked.
