Prestigious Event

I went to Victoria Park to buy some cooking stuff, but after circling the side streets with no spare parking lots to be found, I entered the public pay and display car park. Initially it appeared surprisingly empty but had a queue of cars entering and exiting without parking. On closer inspection it seemed that a half of the parks had been reserved for an entire week for the forthcoming event staff. Obviously they were not required on Friday at 12.30pm so 10-odd car parks lay empty but all openly boasting signs with the threat of vehicles being towed away on the owners' expense. So after not being able to find a car park, I went home without purchasing much needed stuff. Many thanks Auckland Council for a total waste.
