Inveterate Punters in the Street
There is a junction with pedestrian crossing on Kepa Road between Eastridge and Selwyn College which I use every day. It has traffic lights but often there are reckless red-light runners. I have learned to wait to make sure all the cars are completely stopped before I venture to turn as I've been at bad risk of being hit once. This afternoon I waited to turn as usual and I saw a girl was nearly halfway across when a red Jaguar convertible came speeding through the pedestrian crossing, nearly running her over. The car was going so fast that I couldn't get the number plate. I believe the police and the council should put a bloody high resolution surveillance camera in but it seems the budget keeps getting passed.
