Total Russian (MTM) by Natasha Bershadski

This book uses various repeating techniques to help us remember words and phrases, then continuously keep going back to things what we’ve learned. One more thing I like is that it stresses on elegant pronunciation so that we may speak Russian nicely. Although a lot of stuff in here is really basic, we could get a good understanding of the conventions behind the language, that is pretty unique. Furthermore it undeniably was impressive that the instructor constantly corrects the students' pronunciation of "здесь", several hundred times in 10 hours course.

However it would be a little annoying that the male student mind-numbingly repeated to get them wrong all the time and the pronunciations always remained appallingly bad. It seemed that he did not like his pronunciation corrected. Hence we had decided that we rather have skipped his parts for further reviews and recaps. I believe it did work fabulously as it literally saved us enormous time and considerable effort.
